THE GAMPOPA VAJRAYANA BUDDHIST CENTER
The Gampopa Vajrayana Buddhist Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to serving the needs of students of Tibetan Buddhism, especially those of the Drikung Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism. The center was founded in 1997, by the Tibetan Buddhist master the Venerable Drikung Lamchen Gyalpo Rinpoche. Their main teaching center in the United States is located in Denville, New Jersey, on beautiful Rainbow Lake. As a holder of the Drikung Kagyu Mahamudra, Phagdru Kagyu, and Dzogchen lineages, Lamchen Gyalpo Rinpoche encourages groups of serious practitioners from all parts of the world and is constantly traveling and teaching. A prolific writer, Gyalpo Rinpoche is in the process of having some of his major works translated from Tibetan into other languages for the benefit of non-Tibetan speaking students from many countries. As well as nurturing and encouraging his own students, Lamchen Gyalpo Rinpoche also regularly invites other Tibetan Buddhist masters to teach at the Gampopa Vajrayana Buddhist Center, both from the Drikung Kagyu lineage as well as other schools of Tibetan Buddhism. In this way, the students of Lamchen Gyalpo Rinpoche are exposed to the rarest of all Buddhist treasures, the teachings of the pure lama. The Venerable Lamchen Gyalpo Rinpoche resides at the Gampopa Center in Denville, New Jersey, along with his nephew, H. E. Drikung Chenga Rinpoche and his assistant of many years, the Venerable Khenpo Tenzin Nyima.
